A vibrant and thriving community located in the heart of Charlotte, North Carolina. Very interesting to look at the history and development of this beautiful neighborhood. The land that is now The Palisades was originally owned by the Duke family, who used it for farming and hunting. In the early 1900s, the area began to see development as more people moved to Charlotte and the surrounding areas. The first homes in The Palisades were built in the 1950s, but it wasn't until the 1990s that the neighborhood really began to take shape. In 1995, Crescent Resources began development on The Palisades, with a vision to create a community that blended the beauty of nature with modern amenities and conveniences. The economy upset the development and it got stalled, when economy turned around several builders stepped in and created additional separate subdivisions within the property. One of the major features of The Palisades is its championship golf course, designed by renowned golf course architect Jack Nicklaus. The course opened in 2002 and has since been recognized as one of the best in the region. The Palisades also boasts a beautiful clubhouse, which serves as the hub of the community's social and recreational activities. The neighborhood features a community pool, tennis courts, and a fitness center, providing residents with plenty of opportunities to stay active and connect with their neighbors.
